Following along with our last designer feature, we’re bringing you another 5 Reasons To Rock one of our favorite new up and coming designers. Next up: Atlanta-based designer Kayla Shelton of Kay Dane.

Birthed after a vision to create runway-inspired gear in an “everyday kinda way”, Kay Dane (pronounced kay-duh-nay) brings to the table edgy womenswear with an everyday wearable chic twist. With inspiration from the 70’s and 80’s, Kay Dane designs will undoubtedly turn heads but won’t pierce your pockets. Starting out with a diffusion line of tanks, tees and leggings, Kay Dane has now emerged as a full collection of dresses, jumpers, sweaters, jackets and much more. Following the mantra that “kindness is key”, peep why self-taught designer Kayla Shelton’s impressive line is one to watch…

Kelly Monica Hair joins Lawrence Washington- Atlanta Salon in Buckhead!!

Kelly Monica is a talented and artistic stylist with a tireless passion for her work. She apprenticed at one of Atlantas top ten salons Carter Barnes in Phipps Plaza as well as their Alpharetta location. Soon after Kelly worked for Hair-Ex Hair Importers while also studying natural hair at Bellogique salon. While working at Hair-Ex she began receiving her one on one hair extension training from Leslie Leland and some of the countries most reowned hair extension specialist. Focusing on branding her name as an extension expert. Kelly Monica has sense personalized her craft with precision cutting techniques and stunning placement work. Kelly's various salon background salon experience allows her to create impressive hair results ranging from glam girl looks to distinguished corporate and even elegant. Her view and understanding of beauty is shown through her work, once stating that she feels that she creates hair that men ask for and love, as she smiles. She's earned a professional reputation early in the hair industry that can be matched by few and she continues to want to work and collaborate with the best in her field which is why she has chosen to join the team at the Lawrence Washington Atlanta salon in Buckhead. "Lawrence has definitely made a name for himself in the industry and I respect his work and vision for his salon. The salon is so beautiful it makes you feel elite and special. They have done and amazing job with that. I've been on my own for two years supported on my dream and this move is new and very exciting for me. I'm sure the salon will make its mark on Atlanta.
